Last Update hace 8 meses
If you’re new to Camanda, here’s how to navigate the journey from that exciting moment of becoming “approved to teach” to developing and creating your first class.
So you’ve applied and been accepted to teach on Camanda.
Congratulations and welcome!
Wherever you’re at in your online teaching journey, we’re here to help you start teaching more of what you love.
We’ll walk you through each step to help you easily visualize the whole process and move through it yourself.
1. Create your instructor profile
Your instructor bio is where you tell learners who you are. You have three ways to convey your unique brand.
✔ Your photo. This should be a recent professional photo of you that shows your head and shoulders.
✔ Your “Bio” section. Write one to three paragraphs describing your teaching expertise and your passion for the training programs you will be teaching.
✔ Name and headline. Kindly use your legal name to maintain professionalism.
2. Learn about effective online teaching
If you’re new to online teaching, make time to learn effective practices for a successful online class.
Google Meet and the Camanda classroom
At the top of the list is learning Google Meet thoroughly. Also, get to know the ins and outs of our Camanda classroom and its features.
Connection and interaction
Many of the intrinsic benefits of teaching — for example, connecting with learners and engaging them to spark learning — can be present in the virtual teaching environment. It’s helpful to learn some tools and techniques to build those connections and provide interactive lessons online. A strong connection with an instructor can be a major factor when they’re deciding whether to take more classes from you.
Camanda’s policies
Become familiar with Camanda’s policies. The good news is that the Camanda Instructor Handbook is a helpful resource if you’re uncertain about procedures and need to look them up.
3. Prepare and publish your class
You’ll need to get your class published before the Cohort begins and invite learners accordingly at least three days before the first class.
Develop a lesson plan
Our team of course developers will provide you with the training program curriculum and materials. Feel free to develop on what they share with you. You should have three to five learning goals and center your lesson plan around these.
Decide what activities to include to make the class interactive and to support your learning goals, as well as how you’ll start and end the class presentation.
Create a class
It’s time to create your class on Camanda! Elements you’ll need to include are:
- Lesson title
- Lesson duration
- Lesson start date & time
- Lesson description
- Lesson content
- A video (optional)
Ensure to align your content with our Class Content Policy.
