We are excited to welcome passionate, qualified individuals to Camanda Academy’s community of instructors!

Requirements



Camanda does not require formal teaching credentials. We believe that many adults can offer quality learning experiences based on their expertise and interests. We do, however, have several requirements, detailed below. Instructors need to fulfill these requirements to become and to remain an instructor on Camanda:


  • You must be at least 18 years old.


  • You must reside full-time in any of the 36 States in Nigeria (including the FCT), United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.


  • You must have the ability to receive Bank Transfer Payment in Nigeria. Review Camanda Instructor Payment Policy to understand our payment policy.


  • You must be a talented industry professional with a passion to educate others. You should have one or more expertise or passion that you will base your classes around.


  • You must meet our Community Standards (read below), including prompt, professional communication with learners and the Camanda team.


  • You must observe our Class Content Policy (read below), including that Camanda classes are secular and objective.


  • You must have a reliable and fast Internet connection (over 3Mbps upload and download).


  • You must have the technical know-how to effectively run online classes.


  • You must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.


  • You must be willing to dedicate approximately 2-4 hours per week over 8-12 weeks to deliver engaging live online sessions and support learners accordingly. Our team and course developers will support you every step of the way.


  • You must verify your identity with a verifiable government-issued ID and Bank Verification Number.

Steps to Apply


To apply to become an approved instructor on Camanda, you’ll need to follow these steps:

1. Apply to teach


Fill out your application – Become an Instructor. You will share specifics about your expertise and training programs you’re interested in teaching.



2. Initial Review by our team

Our team will review applications to assess alignment with our academy’s mission and programs.

Upon review, you will receive an official communication (whether you have been shortlisted or not), within five business days.



3. Course Outline & Screencast Submission

If shortlisted, you will develop a detailed course outline for your proposed program. It is important to align course content with our class content policy.



You will create a 5-minute screencast of yourself delivering a class on a topic from your proposed course outline.



4. Final Team Review and Feedback

Our team will thoroughly review each submission and provide feedback to candidates.



5. Contract Offer

If you become a successful candidate, you will receive a contract offer detailing terms and conditions, including compensation, responsibilities, and expectations.


Upon acceptance, please sign the contract to formalize your commitment to teaching at Camanda Academy.



6. Familiarize yourself with Camanda Academy basics (especially our LMS)

Check out our Getting Started tips (read below), connect with the team and other instructors on Camanda. We will share our instructor integration video to help you know more about Camanda. These will help make your transition to teaching on Camanda a bit easier.



7. Create your instructor profile and publish your first class!

Hooray! You can now create your first class on Camanda.
